 Algeria's Nations Cup build up will begin in Belgium |
Algeria have named a 24-man squad for a training camp in Belgium to begin their preparations for next years African Nations Cup tournament in Tunisia. New coach Rabah Saadane has picked only home-based players from the Algerian league for the camp, which will take place early next month.
But players from Algerian league champions USM Algiers have been left out due to their involvement in the African Champions League.
USM Algiers are preparing for their first group match in Africa's premier club competition against AS Aviacao in Luanda on 9 August. Algeria will play two friendlies against club opposition in Belgium, the Algerian Football Federation said on Wednesday.
They take on Excelsior Mouscron on 3 August before facing French lower league side Valenciennes two days later.
