Fadiga was at the World Cup |
Inter Milan agreed a deal on Wednesday to sign Senegal forward Khalilou Fadiga from French club Auxerre. The arrival of Fadiga, a member of Senegal's 2002 World Cup squad, comes after the signing of Brazilian winger Luciano.
Fadiga began his career with Paris St. Germain but made his name in Belgium with Liege and Club Bruges before joining Auxerre in 2000.
Fadiga also holds a Belgian passport after spending six years there in which he won the league championship with Club Bruges.
He had a successful season with Auxerre following last year's World Cup. He played 34 times but scored just once.
He finished on a high note when he helped his club to lift the French Cup after beating Paris Saint Germain 2-1.
Inter said on their official website that they had agreed a three-year contract with the player.
