Simba SC v Zamalek in Dar-es-Salaam
Zamalek blamed defeat on 'bad pitch'
Simba coach James Sianga'a has warned his Tanzanian side against early celebrations after their Champions League win on Sunday.

"I am satisfied with our performance but this is not the time to celebrate," the Kenyan coach said.

"It is not over yet. Zamalek is a top team in Africa and we have a match at their home.

"We are now going to prepare for the next match."

Simba defeated the Champions League holders 1-0 in Dar-es-Salaam in the first-leg of their second round tie.

Unmarked Emmanuel Gabriel scored the lone goal in the 55th minute from a left wing cross.

The reigning champions lacked inspiration and left the Tanzanians to dominate the play throughout 90 minutes in an overcrowded stadium.

Zamalek's real chance came in the 81st minute, when Hossam Hassan had only the goalkeeper to beat but opted to make an aimless pass to a team mate.

Zamalek Brazilian coach Carlos Roberto Capral blamed the defeat on the poor state of the pitch.

But Capral did not underrate the East Africans, as he anticipated a difficult return game in Cairo.
