Simba dreams

Defending African champions Zamalek are not expected to face much difficulty against Tanzania's Simba for a place in the group stage of the Champions League.

But the Tanzanian side are confident of causing an upset. Simba are back from an intensive build up in Zanzibar for Saturday's first-leg in Dar-es-Salaam.

Passions are also running high.

The Tanzanian media has charged up the game, calling it 'mission possible'.

The coach of the only East African side left in the prestigious trophy, James Sianga is optimistic that Simba can cause an upset.

"We must win at home because I know it will be tough away," said the up beat Sianga.

"We will apply the tactics that gave us a draw in South Africa against Santos (in the last round).

"The boys have no respect for big names now. South Africa is among the big names and we defeated their champions."

Mohammed Abdalla, who was top scorer in this year's Cecafa tournament, and in form Emmanuel Gabriel are his reliable guns upfront.

Juma Kaseja, the safest pair of hands Tanzania has at the moment, will ensure safety between goal posts.
