Kenya captain worries over Cape Verde
Fans of Kenya's national team
Kenyan fans want Nations Cup action
Kenyan captain Musa Otieno said pressure from home fans could have a negative impact on their deciding Nations Cup qualifier against Cape Verde on 5 July.

Kenya currently lead the group with 10 points, while Togo are a point behind.

Fans eagerly await the return of the Harambee Stars to the Nations Cup, as they have not qualified for the finals since 1992.

"Our home fans are going to make our lives so hard during the match against Cape Verde.

"We are going to be under a lot of pressure because they expect so much from us," Otieno said.

The Kenyan captain told BBC Sport that his colleagues are aware of the challenges they face against against Cape Verde.

"We are in a tricky position. But we pray that we qualify comfortably in front of our desperate home fans.

"It has taken us long to get back into the Nations Cup. The ball is now in our hands and we should not blow it."
