FC Metz coach Jean Fernandez is angry with Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor. The striker did not report for Wednesday's training session with the French club, after travelling home for a Nations Cup qualifier against Kenya, which they won 2-0.
International colleague Agassa Kossi, who was also a part of Togo's squad against Kenya, returned promptly to Metz.
"I've had enough [of Adebayor's behaviour]," said a livid Fernandez.
"I have brought him into my office 25 times to explain to him that football is a team sport.
"But this kid still does not understand."
The 19-year-old Adebayor signed a three-year contract with Metz earlier this month.
He scored 13 goals for Metz last season.
