Mido wants an Italian move |
Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam has expressed a desire to move to Italy. "AS Roma will always be my number one choice," he told the Italian sports daily Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"I would love to join AS Roma, where my idol Gabriel Batistuta used to play.
"I also would love to play under the command of Fabio Capello. I believe I will make huge progress under him," Mido added.
The Egyptian striker scored the winner for Spanish club Celta Vigo in their thrilling 3-2 league victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday.
"I am really happy with Celta, but the Calcio has its own unique flavour," said Mido.
Mido is on loan at Celta from Ajax Amsterdam.
But he has publicly said he would not be willing to return to Ajax, as long as Ronald Koeman remains in charge.
Ajax have placed a transfer fee of $19 million on the striker.
