Mohamed Kallon gives Sierra Leone a boost |
Sierra Leonean striker Mohamed Kallon returns to the national team for the first time in two years. Kallon will return to the side for their Nations Cup qualifier against Morocco in Casablanca on Sunday.
The Inter Milan forward missed his country's last three Nations Cup games against Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Morocco in Freetown due to injury.
His last game was in the 1-0 win over Nigeria in Freetown in a 2002 World Cup qualifier.
Kallon's presence in Casablanca has boosted confidence in the side.
He will captain the team in the absence of Lamin Conteh, who has been ruled out because of injury.
This will also be Kallon's second appearance for Leone Stars on Moroccan soil.
He was part of the Leone Stars side who lost 4-0 to the Atlas Lions in 1996 in a World Cup qualifier.
