Kallon was injured last month |
Sierra Leonean striker, Mohamed Kallon, will miss his country's crucial Nations Cup encounter against Morocco at the weekend.
The striker, who is already in Freetown has been declared unfit by his club doctors at Inter Milan.
He is still suffering from an injury sustained in the Uefa Champions League against Barcelona.
Leone Stars Coach Jose Antonio Nogueira has named IFK Gothenburg striker Kabba Samura as Kallon's replacement.
Representing my country is the most important thing for me |
Noguiera told BBC Sport it was a big blow. "I'm disappointed because Kallon was one of the players I was relying on," he said.
But he added that the Leone Stars have managed to win their last two matches without him. Kallon too was disappointed not to be playing.
"Representing my country is the most important thing for me, but I am nursing an injury that will keep me out of action for the next four weeks," he said.
But he said he was totally behind his team-mates.
"I urge them to give their best and defeat Morocco as a victory will see us almost to Tunisia 2004."
Kallon's last match for his country was against Liberia in Freetown in 2001 in a World Cup qualifying match.
