Darweish offered Capral a new contract |
Brazilian coach Carlos Cabral will not extend his contract with African Champions Zamalek.
Cabral said Sunday's Champions League tie against Simba, of Tanzania, will be his last game in charge of the Egyptian outfit.
"He told us that he had urgent commitments and has to return to Brazil," said Zamalek official Ahmed Refaat.
Cabral was expected to sign his new contract during a meeting with club president Kamal Darweish.
Under the new contract, Capral was to receive a $100,000 signing-on fee and a monthly salary of $16,000.
Cabral was involved in a lot of disputes with veteran striker Hossam Hassan and had several run-ins with the Egyptian media over stories published about his personal life.
In his first season, the Brazilian led the club to four titles - the Egyptian League and Super Cup, Champions League and the Caf Super Cup.
Cabral, who has received numerous offers after his success in Egypt, is reportedly on his way to a club in Qatar.
