South Africa have accused other African countries of cheating |
Mozambique claim to have strong evidence that Guinea falsified the ages of their players during a recent Under-17 Nations Cup qualifying match in Maputo.
The home team lost 4-2 on aggregate, giving the West Africans a chance to qualify for the finals in Swaziland.
Mozambique Federation vice President Faizal Sidat told BBC Sport that the Guinean players travelled on brand new passports, which was suspicious.
"How can the whole team have new passports?
"Was Mozambique their first foreign soccer trip?," asked Sidat.
He said Mozambique had photographic evidence to prove that some of the Guineans were part of the side that took part in the same tournament in 1995.
Sidat also alleged their opponents had two brothers with an age difference of four months.
"These are brothers who have same father and same mother.
"They are not twins but have an age difference of four months, how is that possible?"
Sidat demanded that the Confederation of African Football (Caf) impose tough punishments on age cheats, if youth football is to truly develop budding talent n the continent.
"We are a poor country and we spent about US$ 70,000 to travel to Guinea only to be cheated.
"This is injustice," Sidat said.
Caf is currently examining the Mozambican complaint.
