Addo strikes back
Farah Addo
Addo says he will not appeal against Fifa

Farah Addo, suspended for two years from Fifa duties last month, said his ban will not affect his positions as Caf vice-president and Cecafa boss.

The Somali football administrator was prevented from performing any Fifa activities after accusing president Sepp Blatter of financial mismanagement during his campaign for re-election.

In a Cecafa press conference at the Regency Hotel in Kampala, Addo maintained he had the backing of all Cecafa members.

This is despite harsh criticism of his management style from Uganda and Kenya.

They described him as a "liability" to football in the region.

Addo insisted that he stood by the words that got him suspended.

He has written to Blatter confirming he would not be appealing the decision.

"Although the decision mentioned the possibility of appeal, I do not intend to do so because the above decision was piloted or directed and I consider it unjustified.

"I have no doubt it will happen with the appeal," stated Addo's letter.
