| Monday, 5 August, 2002, 14:22 GMT 15:22 UK Foe ban quashed ![]() Foe was sent off for West Ham against Leeds Manchester City's new midfielder Marc Vivien Foe has been cleared by the English FA to play at the start of the season. Manchester City appealed for an overturn of the punishement handed to the Cameroon international two years ago. Foe, who was playing in the English Premiership with West Ham, was given the sanction after he was sent off during his last game against Leeds United in May 2000. But he did not serve the ban, as he played for French club Lyon last season.
