The team arrived late in London after their plane connection was delayed in South Africa for two hours. During the ten day training camp the team will play three friendly matches against some reputable London based clubs, according to coach Kim Splidsboel. "We came to London because we thought the players needed some concentration, especially overseas," Splidsboel stated. And the coach said he is not worried having been given Zambia to play in the semi-finals. "We have played Zambia in the past and the game between the two traditional rivals is always tense, but Malawi will carry the day after the match," he said. Splidsboel also added that he had no injury worries ahead of the game, and was able to prepare with a fully fit squad. | See also: 08 Jul 02 | Africa 10 May 02 | Africa 15 Feb 02 | Africa Top Africa stories now: Links to more Africa stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
