Nigeria women set for England
Nigeria's women's football team
The Falcons are the reigning Caf champions
African women's football champions Nigeria are finishing their preparations to play England in a friendly match in Norwich on Tuesday.

The game, staged at the Carrow Road stadium, is being used by the England team as a tough preparation game ahead of their World Cup play-off match against Iceland.

And the England players said they were full of admiration for the Falcons ahead of the encounter.

"Obviously they are going to be playing England so they will up their game a lot more and they are a very strong, physical side as it is so I expect them to come out twice as strong," said defender Mary Philips.

"If the ball is there to be won they'll go for it and they close you down very quickly and when they've got the ball they pass it round very quickly.

"I'm expecting a tough game."

Nigeria themselves will host the African Nations Cup in December.

The Falcons will be hoping advantage will be enough to take them through to the final, as the top two finishers at that competition will head for China and the World Cup finals.
