Defending African club champions Al Ahly have received a $2 million bid for their leading striker Khaled El Amin, popularly known as 'Bibo'.

The offer to the Egyptian club came through the Tunisian players' agent, Zeyad Telmecani.

"We received the official offer for our player, which is in addition to whatever he will get for signing for the club," said Ahly's marketing manager Adly El Kaiey.

Sporting Lisbon, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord have been said to have an interest in the player but Telmencani refused to confirm the club until he gets the player's signature.

Bibo had a superb season with his club last year, leading them to the Caf Champions' League title.

He scored a hat-trick in the final match against Sundowns of South Africa.

Bibo became the darling of Ahly's fans after scoring four goals in the Cairo derby, when they thrashed league arch-rivals Zamalek 6-1.

Although Ahly are interested in the offer, Bibo is reportedly hesitant about a move to Europe.

After becoming a superstar in Egyptian football, he is uncertain about plying his trade in a foreign environment, where he will be an unknown.

He cites the unhappy experience of his national team-mate, Hazem Emam, who had a bad time with Italian club Udinese.

In the meantime, Telmecani is expected to fly to Holland to meet Bibo, where Ahly are engaged in pre-season training.
