Malouda (centre left) has made the squad but Franck Ribery (right) has not
France coach Laurent Blanc has recalled Barcelona defender Eric Abidal for next Wednesday's friendly against England.
Abidal, 31, was one of five players summoned by the French Football Federation to explain widespread unrest after their woeful World Cup campaign.
He escaped without sanction, but other players questioned - such as Manchester United's Patrice Evra and Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka - remain overlooked.
Four English Premier League players are in Blanc's 22-man squad.
They are Arsenal's right-back Bacary Sagna, left-back Gael Clichy, midfielder Samir Nasri, along with Chelsea forward Florent Malouda.
Abidal's reprieve comes after a string of solid performances for the Spanish league champions.
Bordeaux captain Alou Diarra is also named in the squad, despite currently serving a six-game domestic suspension for pushing a referee in a league match at Auxerre last month.
Bayern Munich playmaker Franck Ribery is another high-profile absentee from the French squad, though he is recovering from torn ankle ligaments and is not yet fully fit to play.
The FFF suspended all 23 members of its World Cup squad for the nation's first match after the tournament in South Africa under new coach Blanc, who is trying to bring about change under his regime.
