St Paul's set to clinch consecutive Premiership titles

Jersey Football Combination

Current league and Channel Island champions St Paul's could wrap up the Premiership title on Tuesday.

After beating Portuguese 2-1 on Saturday with goals from Carl McConnell and Ross Crick, St Paul's now need just a win against Jersey Scottish.

Scottish are currently struggling to avoid relegation with just two league wins all season.

Meanwhile St Paul's are still on target for a record six trophies in the space of just one season.

In the unlikely event that St Paul's fail to overcome Scottish, Grouville's slender hopes of the title would remain alive after their 4-1 win at relegated First Tower Utd on Saturday.

Bradley Russell helped himself to a hat-trick, his first goal coming after just 32 seconds, and the striker also missed a penalty.

Meanwhile in the Championship, Jersey Wanderers made sure of the title after beating St. Lawrence 3-0.
