The Premier League will honour Sir Bobby Robson with a minute's applause ahead of each game at the opening round of matches on 15 and 16 August.
Stadiums with big screens will also show a video of the former England manager, who died aged 76 on 31 July.
"Sir Bobby Robson brought so much to the game throughout his long and successful career," Premier League chairman Sir Dave Richards said.
"It's fitting fans across the country have the chance to celebrate his life."
