Irvine's Preston side have been in fine form in recent weeks

Preston boss Alan Irvine has been named the Championship's manager of the month for April.

Irvine's side enjoyed a great run in April before pipping Cardiff City to a play-off place with a dramatic final-day victory at home to QPR.

Milton Keynes Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo was named League One's manager of the month.

And in League Two, the award went to Andy Scott, whose Brentford side ended the season as champions.
