A Steve Schumacher volley put the hosts ahead before Town striker Martin Gritton earned his second yellow card and was sent off after just 13 minutes.

Left-back Billy Jones curled in the second after 27 minutes before Danny O'Donnell nodded in the third just before half-time.

Macclesfield striker Simon Yeo shaved a post but their 10 men struggled.
