A rampant Darlington romped to victory over a stunned Macclesfield.

Striker Billy Clarke put the visitors ahead when he converted a pin-point Liam Hatch cross before he scored with a superb 30-yard strike.

The home side's Richard Walker scored a headed own-goal before Macclesfield skipper Sean Hessey was sent off for clipping Gregg Blundell.

Clarke scored from the spot for his hat-trick and then tapped in before Neil Austin's shot rounded off the win.
