The Leicester manager talks about his team's fight against relegation on the final day of the Championship season in his weekly column.

These are the times you need to fight and battle - I can assure you that's what the lads intend to do

With the terrible 3-1 result we had against Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday, it hasn't been a very pleasant week.

We had a chance of sorting our Championship fate; instead everybody has us going down this weekend because we have (second-placed) Stoke City away.

There will be loads of Stoke fans ready for a party - they need only a point for promotion, but I'm sure they will be going for all three.

So we have to upset their party, if we get a win it almost guarantees we stay up. I know that looks a tall order, but it's fact.

We have to go the Britannia Stadium with the right mentality. That's absolutely vital, that's what we have been talking about all week.

If you look at last Saturday, we went 1-0 up really early. But I showed the players videos of how we stopped closing down and pressing and you just can't do that at this level.

And you can't miss your penalties either - if we had scored it would've changed the whole complexion of the game.

So we've had to be tough this week; we have to show our mettle because the last game is absolutely crucial.

This match is about those who live and breath Leicester City - I have to ensure the players understand that.

We have had some very good results away to the bigger teams this season - Bristol City and West Brom for example - but we're going to need to do that again on Sunday.

However, It's not just about us and Southampton - I've had to remind people there are five other teams that can go down on one game.

The more you talk about it, the worse it gets - you just need to bring the game on

But you have to be careful about how you drum that message into them because you don't want to create unnecessary pressure.

Some players can cope with it, others aren't as good. But one thing is for sure: the players care.

I have never faced a situation like this on the last day of the season.

This club has a very proud tradition, no-one wants to go down. And my whole future depends on this match.

I accept full responsibility for all the things that have happened, we want to make it right, but we have one game to make it right.

The match is on a Sunday at 2pm, which has slightly changed our usual preparations.

We've looked long and hard about who is fit - we've got a fair few injuries at the moment, but that's irrelevant.
