Chelmsford have flourished since returning to the borough in 2005
Chelmsford City have set their sights on back-to-back promotions after winning the Ryman Premier League.
The Clarets sealed the title after drawing with Ramsgate and will play in the Blue Square South next season.
But the club's operations director Mansell Wallace told BBC Essex they are not going to settle for just that.
"We make no secret of the fact that we have targeted back-to-back promotions," said Wallace. "We want promotion into the Conference full-time."
Wallace added: "The council supports us 100 per cent, we're all singing from the same hymn sheet, we all know where we going and our objective really is league football in Chelmsford."

Wallace also pointed to the ever-increasing attendances at Melbourne Park as a sign of the club's potential.
"The average for the season is about 1300," said Wallace. "But, since Christmas, it has been 1500 so I think we're going in the right direction.
"We had two and a half thousand home supporters watching the Wimbledon game and I would hope that would continue.
"We could go back to the good old days at New Writtle Street when we would be expecting 4,500 to a home game."
