St Paul's Coca-Cola Combination title challenge took a stumble as they went down to champions Jersey Scottish 1-0. Scott Devlin's penalty after 65 minutes was the difference between the two sides at Clos des Pauvres after referee Ian Solomon saw a handball in the box.
St Paul's went close to equalising when Craig Leitch's shot was cleared off the line by James Scott.
But despite heavy pressure in the final minutes St Paul's went down to their second league defeat of the season.
St Paul's are still top of the table but are now level with Trinity on 25 points after the parish side beat Rozel Rovers 3-2.

Ray Grant opened the scoring after 45 seconds for Trinity before Stephen McCarter and David Lloyd added to their tally.
Stuart Truscott and James O'Haire, with a 30-yard shot into the top corner, were on target for Rovers.
Rovers stay sixth in the table, a point above the relegation zone.
First Tower are still looking for their first points of the season after their match with St Peter was abandoned after 28 minutes.
The referee was accidentally hit in the face and was unable to continue, and with no other officials at the match there was no choice but to call the game off.
It was real blow for Tower who were 1-0 up at the time after captain Jody McCarthy had scored a penalty.
