Craig Brewster restricted his own appearances with Dundee United |
Former Dundee United boss Craig Brewster has rejected the chance to manage his former club Ionikos. Brewster, 39, was offered the job last week after leaving his post as player-manager of Dundee United.
The former Inverness boss was due to travel to Greece on Saturday but he has now decided not to take the role.
"I agreed terms with Ionikos and was due to go out with my dad on Saturday morning but the deal is now off," Brewster told the Sunday Express.
"I said I wanted to go out and have a look at things myself but the president wanted things finalised so he could announce it to the press.
"He said he couldn't give me any more time because he had spent the last few days putting other interested managers and agents off.
"So I said fine, I can't give you a decision now."
Brewster was replaced by Craig Levein at Tannadice after winning only two out of 28 Scottish Premier League games since taking over in January.
