Brewster will keep himself on the sidelines |
Dundee United player-manager Craig Brewster aims to reduce his playing duties to concentrate on team affairs. The 39-year-old has seen his side make a stuttering start to the season.
And he told the Sun: "I enjoy it more when I'm on the sidelines, so the ideal scenario from now on is either be a substitute or out of it altogether.
"When I'm on the park I've found I'm trying to do two jobs. I came here as player-manager but first and foremost I'm the manager."
Brewster has featured in four matches this season, starting twice, and is yet to find the net.
"I have got to be honest with myself and the players," Brewster added.
"As things stand, there are people ahead of me in the pecking order and it's up to them to keep the jerseys now."
