Gary Megson is closing in on two new defenders for West Brom. They are American World Cup star Tony Sanneh and Nigerian Ifeanyi Udeze and will join the club on short-term deals. (The Sun)

Tottenham have moved their attention to Celtic's Neil Lennon. The former Leicester man is keen for a Premiership move because he fears manager Martin O'Neill is on his way out of Parkhead. (Daily Star)

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn could be on his way out of Ewood Park in a �6m deal. (Daily Express)

Sheffield United's Michael Tonge is the target of at least six Premiership clubs. Liverpool are favourites to meet the �6m asking price. (Daily Mail)

Robbie Fowler could yet be on his way to Manchester City after the club failed to sign South African international Benni McCarthy. (Daily Mail)
