New Dons back in Merton
AFC Wimbledon's club logo
AFC Wimbledon have their own logo
AFC Wimbledon will play in their home borough of Merton next season after agreeing to groundshare with Tooting & Mitcham.

The Combined Counties League side - formed by Wimbledon fans angry at the Nationwide Division One side`s planned move to Milton Keynes - will move into Tooting & Mitcham's new 3,500-capacity stadium.

Lord Faulkner, vice chair of the Government's Football Task Force, welcomed the agreement.

"This is wonderful news for football supporters in Wimbledon," he said.

"AFC Wimbledon is a fantastic success story, and its formation and continuing progress represent one of the most heartening developments in English football today."

Wimbledon are planning to relocate to Milton Keyes
