More than 200 athletes and officials will be travelling to the Games

Guernsey's Island Games competitors were given their official farewell, led by the Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland at a special ceremony on Tuesday.

More than 200 competitors and officials will be travelling from Guernsey to the Games in Aland which start on 27 June.

The Sarnians are one of the largest teams out of the 25 islands taking part in the event.

Sir Geoff and his wife Diana will be accompanying the team and he said they would visit as many events as possible.
