The Tornadoes earned a narrow win over the Sharks

The Tornadoes softball team have won the Guernsey Open Slowpitch Tournament after a 4-3 success against the Sharks from the Solent Softball League.

The Sharks batted first and failed to score in their opening three innings, while the Tornadoes scored through Sally Le Noury and Marissa Mollet.

The visitors then rallied to bring the scores level at 3-3 going into the final seventh innings.

The Tornadoes held their nerve in the seventh to earn a narrow victory.

Sally Le Noury was named as the tournament's most valuable female player.
