The Twenty20 international between England women and their India counterparts was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Taunton.

England hoped to continue a superb run which has seen them unbeaten against West Indies and South Africa and 3-0 ahead in the one-day series with India.

But heavy overnight rain left the Taunton ground unfit and the umpires abandoned the match at 1230 BST.

The one-day series resumes on Sunday with the fourth game at Arundel Castle.
