Sarah Taylor became the youngest woman to pass 1,000 runs in one-day internationals as England cruised to a 10-wicket win over India at Taunton.

The 19-year-old from Sussex reached the milestone on 16 and went on to hit a six and seven fours in an unbeaten 75.

Caroline Atkins played the supporting role with 24 as England reached 103-0 with over half their overs to spare.

Holly Colvin (4-20) and Katherine Brunt (3-14) had earlier done most of the damage as India were all out for 102.

It was a another hugely disappointing effort by the tourists, who only managed 124 in Saturday's opening game at Bath.

Captain Mithali Raj showed the necessary resolve, batting for over two hours for an unbeaten 53, but Asha Rawat (11) was the only other batter to reach double figures.

So it proved as Taylor and Atkins steered England to a 2-0 lead in the series, with three games to play.
