Veteran Aussie paceman Glenn McGrath showed there was plenty left in his tank as he took 4-55 to help bundle India out for just 246 in Bangalore. Afterwards, he said: "To take two wickets in my first two overs - I couldn't make a better start than that.
"After having a break you come back feeling fresh and once you get back to the standard you like to bowl at you start to feel pretty confident."
McGrath said a switch to much lighter boots had paid off in style.
He went on: "I have changed my bowling boots and they're about half the weight of my old boots.
"I feel much more relaxed and more comfortable running into the crease and have been going through the crease better too."
He said he had enjoyed bowling with the new ball.
"It's a wicket that sometimes seams a little bit - the balls here have big seams and there's also a lot of reverse swing."
And he has plenty of ambition left at the highest level.
"To get 500 wickets is a big goal of mine but the next goal is to play 100 Test matches," he added.
"Experience helps more than anything else.
"I have bowled quite a bit in the subcontinent. The new ball will carry through OK and the old ball will get reverse swing."
