Flower is a strong candidate for the full-time England coaching role |
Northants bowler Monty Panesar has said stand-in England coach Andy Flower has helped him improve his game. Former Zimbabwe captain Flower took on the role on a temporary basis when Peter Moores was sacked following after his rift with Kevin Pietersen. Panesar told BBC Radio Northampton "My experience with him [Flower] has been really good and he has actually helped me develop." The 26-year-old also described Flower as a "world class player of spin". Panesar said he has also been impressed with England captain Andrew Strauss' leadership skills. "Everything seems to be a logical order. He is a person that likes to lead from the front and he has defiantly showed that with his performances." With the forthcoming West Indies Test series selection still pending, Panesar added that has not spoken to the selectors since his return from the Caribbean but has made himself available for all the forthcoming games.
