Lamont has won 37 caps for Scotland since his debut in 2004 |
Northampton Saints boss Jim Mallinder has admitted he is uncertain over Scottish international Sean Lamont's future at Franklin's Gardens. The 28-year-old wing has been linked with a move to the French club Brive, but BBC Radio Northampton understands the deal has fallen through. "We're not too sure what Sean is going to do," Mallinder said. "He's been fantastic for us recently, playing really well, and we're delighted about that." Mallinder added: "But it's one of those things. When players come out of contract they get offers from elsewhere. "We'll just have to wait and see." Lamont joined the Saints in 2005 and has scored 23 tries in 68 appearances for the club.
