Batty wants a rematch with Lara |
England have added spinner Gareth Batty to their squad for the third Test against West Indies at Old Trafford. But Surrey batsman Mark Butcher misses out after failing to recover from a thigh strain.
England, leading the series 2-0, named a 13-man squad for Thurday's Test, with Robert Key keeping his place.
Batty has not played for England since the final Test against West Indies in the Caribbean when he endured a torrid time against Brian Lara.
He had the dubious honour of being the bowler who Lara hit to secure a new world batting record in April.
Batty is having a successful season with Worcestershire, and has already taken 40 first-class wickets at an average of 23.65. He also boasts a batting average of 24.00.

Butcher pulled out of the Surrey squad for the Twenty20 Cup finals on Saturday and said he did not know when he would be fully fit.
And he is struggling to be fit for the final Test at The Oval on 19 August.
He said: "I've given up trying to project when I'm going to be back.
"It's not irritating that's just the nature of sport."
Chairman of selectors David Graveney told BBC Radio Five Live: "We have picked Gareth Batty to give us cover and as an extra spinning option as recent matches at Old Trafford have indicated that the pitch may be responsive to spin.
"Obviously we will need to look at the wicket before we make a decision on the final XI. "As far as Mark Butcher is concerned, the selectors have decided that he is not yet in a position to play a five day Test match."
