Tykes trio set to sign
Richard Blakey receives the congratulations of the Yorkshire team
Yorkshire responded to Blakey's captaincy
Craig White, Anthony McGrath and Richard Blakey are set to sign new contracts with Yorkshire this week.

The club, relegated from Championship Division One following 2001's title success, are currently experiencing financial difficulties and some economy measures were expected.

But new chief executive Colin Graves confirmed that the trio had verbally agreed new deals and are expected to put pen to paper within the next few days.

Blakey was the only Yorkshire batsmen to pass 1,000 first-class runs for the season, whilst McGrath played several key innings on the way to the C&G Trophy triumph.

White, meanwhile, will hope to resume his international career next year after being overlooked by the England selectors for the Ashes series in Australia.

Darren Gough's future remains, unclear however, after he was unable to attend a meeting with Graves on Monday.

That has now been postponed until later in the week, with the England paceman expected to be offered a pay as you play deal.

Last week the Daily Telegraph reported that Yorkshire could not afford his basic wage, thought to be around 60,000 a year.

With concerns over his long-term fitness following three operations on a troublesome left knee, it is believed that the county are unprepared to commit such a sum of money.
