Worcestershire-born Adshead is being considered as Davies' replacement |
Worcestershire have drawn up a list of 16 potential wicketkeepers to replace Surrey-bound Steven Davies. Coach Steve Rhodes denies a deal is done to bring back Steve Adshead to New Road but confirms he has spoken to the Gloucestershire keeper's agent. Worcestershire-born Adshead, 29, had one short spell on loan at New Road from Leicestershire in 2003, prior to joining Gloucestershire the next year. Meanwhile, young Dutchman Alex Kervezee, 19, has signed a new deal. The extended contract will keep Namibia-born Kervezee, 19, who played in the 2007 World Cup, at New Road until the end of the 2012 season.
