Smith has a top score of 80 in the first team this summer |
Worcestershire veteran Ben Smith took advantage of being given second team batting practice at Kidderminster by smashing 158 against Warwickshire. Smith, without a first-class hundred for three years, hammered 28 fours in his 158, backed by Ian Fisher's 117. Worcestershire were bowled out for 503, but Warwickshire, 86-6, need another 277 to avoid an innings defeat. Smith and Fisher are both expected to be back in first team action against Essex in Sunday's Pro40 at Colchester.
