Worcestershire's Australian paceman Ashley Noffke says he has fully recovered from a hip operation and has settled in well to life at New Road.
The 30-year-old underwent surgery during the winter and missed the latter part of the Australian season.
Noffke told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I had a nerve caught so I got opened up and the the nerve got cut away from the scar tissue.
"After only eight weeks out of surgery I am really happy with my progress."
But despite having such a short spell of recuperation, Noffke said he has benefitted from returning to action so quickly.
Noffke added:"If I was at home I would be sitting on the beach, or in my boat fishing.
"I love playing cricket, and county cricket in particular and I have been made really welcome here.
"I love Worcester, and the family have settled in and are happy so that helps me play some good cricket."
After spells with Middlesex, Gloucestershire and Durham, Noffke will make his home County Championship debut against Lancashire on Thursday.
And despite having experience of county cricket, the Queenslander said it always takes time to adapt to English conditions.
Noffke said: "It takes time to get used to it, more the temperature and the grounds.
"We have played on some wet outfields, so there's been some heavy legs in the dressing room.
"It's more about pitching the ball up further and giving yourself a chance to get an edge on the front foot. At the end of the day good bowling is good bowling, and you can adjust either way."
