Steven Davies shared an unbroken stand of 138 with Vikram Solanki
England one-day hopeful Steven Davies smashed 82 off 59 balls as Worcestershire strolled to their third straight FP Trophy win at New Road.
In their first game in front of their own supporters this season, Worcester limited Nottinghamshire to 188-8 off a rain-reduced 40 overs.
The victory target then got further reduced on the Duckworth/Lewis method to a less challenging 138 off 26.
Davies and Vikram Solanki (49 not out) then cantered home inside 24 overs.
Captain Solanki's effort, off 80 balls, was more measured. But Davies walloped 11 fours in front of the TV cameras, the last of them pulled over midwicket off Paul Franks to win the match.
Earlier, former Warwickshire batsman Mark Wagh hit 85 to rescue the visitors from 13-3.
Ashley Noffke took 3-37 for the home side, while off-spinner Gareth Batty, who earned a late summons to join Davies on the one-day leg of England's winter Caribbean tour, picked up 2-20 from his eight overs.
Worcester's third successive Trophy win leapfrogs them ahead of Notts, the only other unbeaten team in the section, to the top of Group A.
In a shortened contest - a late start followed by an interruption in each innings - Worcester held the winning hand from the time Solanki won the toss and gave his bowlers the chance to exploit the favourable conditions.
Noffke marked his home debut for his fourth English county side (he has also turned in stints with Middlesex, Durham and Gloucestershire) by taking wickets with the fifth and sixth deliveries.
Daryl Mitchell held a head-high edge from Ali Brown at second slip and Alex Hales, fresh from a first century against Ireland on Sunday, this time got a golden duck, being given out leg before when Noffke's next ball swung into his front pad.
Wagh then responded with his best one-day performance for Notts.
But it was Batty, now overlooked by the selectors after playing in three of the one-day internationals against West Indies in March, who put the brakes on.
And that set the stage for Solanki to build on his County Championship double century against Yorkshire and Davies, who played some eye-catching shots in making his second half-century in the competition in three games.
Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"The weather was a bit of a worry but beating Notts is a good effort.
"There were some good individual performances but I was pleased with the team effort, especially the fielding.
"You know how hungry your team is by the way they field, and it was a quality performance as a team."
