Money not all-important - Rhodes

Worcestershire's Steve Rhodes
Rhodes wants his players to play for pride and not money

Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes does not believe the prize money will overshadow the cricket in this season's Twenty20 Cup.

Rhodes told BBC Hereford and Worcester the potential rewards are huge, but it is still about professional pride.

"Money didn't really bother me too much when I was playing - if I was playing tiddlywinks I'd want to win.

"I'd try just as hard and hopefully that's the attitude the rest of the guys have got," he said.
