Naved is a Pakistan international

Sussex have re-signed Pakistan paceman Rana Naved-ul-Hasan for the first half of the season.

The 32-year-old, who played at Hove between 2005 and 2007, returned for the early part of last season.

He will stay with Sussex until the end of June, making him available for the opening FP t20 fixtures.

Sussex professional cricket manager Mark Robinson said: "He was like a breath of fresh air when he was with us last year."

He added: "The energy and match-winning threat he gives us will be an important ingredient for what hopefully will be a successful season."
