Caddick has played just four games for Somerset this season |
Somerset paceman Andrew Caddick will miss the county's Pro40 visit to Durham later this week. The veteran will instead line up for the county second XI as he continues his rehabilitation from injury. Director of cricket Brian Rose said the 39-year-old former England bowler would benefit from playing a three-day game. "We want to get a lot of overs under his belt with a view to the next Championship match," Rose told the Western Daily Press. "At Arundel [Somerset's opening Pro 40 fixture] he started to bowl some of the deliveries we know he can but he wasn't quite right. "We will add Steffan Jones to our squad for the Durham trip and we also have Mark Turner to call on."
