Aussie Adam Voges is about to return for his third spell at Trent Bridge |
Nottinghamshire have completed the signing of Adam Voges until the end of the season to fill the void left by fellow Australian David Hussey. Hussey has returned to his homeland to prepare for the new season at Victoria, allowing Notts to bring back Voges for a third spell at Trent Bridge. Voges, 30, will not be available for Notts' next County Championship match at home to Lancashire on Tuesday. But he is available for title-chasing Notts' other three remaining fixtures. Director of cricket Mick Newell told BBC Radio Nottingham: "The three four-day games he is available for will be very important to the club." Voges first joined the current Championship leaders for the 2008 campaign and returned in 2009 when he also covered for Hussey. "Adam had an excellent season for us last year," said Voges "and a pretty good season for us in his first year. "Huss has made some major contributions and I'm sure Adam has confidence in his own ability to contribute."
