Nottinghamshire fast bowler Charlie Shreck has committed his immediate future to the Trent Bridge club.

Shreck, 30, has signed a new two-year deal with the Championship leaders, keeping him in Nottingham until 2010.

Director of Cricket Mick Newell told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Charlie has been the mainstay of our bowling attack for five years."

The Cornishman added: "There's nowhere else that I would rather play than at Trent Bridge."
