Northants coach David Capel wants bowler Jack Brooks to take advantage of Dennis Lillee's experience. The pair are at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai, run by the prominent former Australian fast bowler, for two weeks. Capel told BBC Radio Northampton: "It's a super opportunity for Jack, with fantastic facilities and expert advice from coaches like Dennis Lillee. "He has enormous potential and over the last 18 months he's started to realise that. There are no limits I can see." Capel continued: "It's a gradual process but one that we're looking to accelerate." | It's really good to have an oversupply of young bowlers and England haven't had that in recent years Northants coach David Capel |
Brooks will be joining four bowlers selected by the ECB including Andy Carter (Nottinghamshire), Jake Ball (Nottinghamshire), Boyd Rankin (Warwickshire) and David Payne (Gloucestershire). "There's a pool of players there with aspirations to play at the highest level," added Capel. "It's really good to have an oversupply of young bowlers and England haven't had that in recent years."
