Northants all-rounder Christian Davis is honoured to have been named in the England Under-19s squad to tour Sri Lanka in January. The 18-year-old Bedford School pupil made his first team debut for Northants in their CB40 match against Essex at Southend in August. He told the club website: "I'm delighted, it's a great honour. "It's nice that all the hard work I've put in over the past couple of years has paid off." Davis was recently awarded the Dorothy Radd Shield as Northants' outstanding young cricketer in national age-group competitions - the first player to win it twice. England will play two four-day Tests and five one-day games against Sri Lanka in the four-week tour.
