Hall has led Northants to seven wins from 15 matches this season

Northants head coach David Capel says they will continue to review the club captaincy each season.

South African Andrew Hall took over from Nicky Boje in May.

"It's no surprise to me how well Andrew has taken to captaincy. He takes charge and he puts heart and soul into it," Capel told BBC Radio Northampton.

"Our policy is to review the captaincy every year. But Andrew is doing a fine job, and there's no reason to suggest he shouldn't be captain next season."

Capel added: "You can have a review system, but that doesn't mean your captain doesn't stay on.

"Look at Geoff Cook and Allan Lamb, who were captains for years."
